What's On The Needles - Week of 3/19/16

Posted by Helen Graham on

Happy almost Spring!  We've been busy the last week or so selling our knitting bags to local yarn shops (Yay wholesale empire!!) so it may look like not much progress has been made since our last What's on The Needles.  However, a little has been done on each project except the quilt.  The quilt is in the same state it was last time, unstarted :(

In the short time since we last showed you our projects, we have both become obsessed with knitting podcasts so...we each have a new project to show this week!

So without further ado, here is what is on the needles this week.

Mary Beth

Temperature Blanket - As you can see, we had some warm days and the reds, yellows and oranges are starting to peek through.

Harry Potter Squares - One square done and the next one well on its way.  There's a new twist to this one, but you will have to wait until she is a little further along to see.

Alice Starmore Blanket Shawl - Not much progress here but still beautiful.

Hermione Everyday Socks - As mentioned above we have become obsessed with knitting podcasts and thanks to the Grocery Girls and Inside Number 23, we each cast on our very first pair of socks last night.  We chose the Hermione Everyday Socks because they will be a perfect submission for another first, our very first KAL (knit along) on Ravelry.

Temperature Blanket - The behemoth continues to grow!! and with the warmer weather some fun bright colors are starting to show.

Alice Starmore Shawl - I only got a couple of rows on this done - the downfall of having all these other projects going at the same time.

Granny Squares - I've added about 4 more squares.  It's going to ultimately be a very eclectic blanket.

Hermione Everyday Socks - My version of the Hermione Everyday Socks.  Almost done the ribbing.

What have you been working on this week?
