2019 ADVENT CALENDAR

We have dyed an advent calendar for the past three years and never managed to keep one for ourselves. In 2019, we carefully put one aside so we could open it every day on The Gram (Instagram) and then actually use the colors. They will shortly be joining Mary Beth's scrappy blanket.

For 2019, our theme was Christmas Traditions and here are the colors we chose (from left to right):

Days 7 through 12

      7 - Writing Christmas Cards

      8 - Eating Candy Canes

      9 - Ice Skating

     10 - Christmas Caroling

     11 - Watching Christmas Movies

     12 - Pictures with Santa

 

Days 13 through 18

     13 - Fruit Cake

     14 - Sledding

     15 - Christmas Concerts

     16 - Building a Snowman

     17 - Wrapping Presents

     18 - Hanging the Lights

 

Days 19 through 24

     19 - Decorating the Tree

     20 - Writing Letters to Santa

     21 - Going to the Nutcracker

     22 - Ugly Christmas Sweaters

     23 - Grown Up Christmas Parties

     24 - Reading The Night Before Christmas

 

Day 25 was our full skein of yarn - Shiny Brites (for the vintage ornaments) which I am already turning into a pair of socks.
