The Crafty Toads Podcast #404 - (not the error message) notes and links from the podcast

Today on the podcast, we chatted about our trip to Williamsburg VA for World Wide Knit in Public Day and our trunk show.

On Saturday, we visited Flying Needles Yarn

where we hung out with Susan and her staff and lots of customers who stopped by to knit in public with us. We chatted, we ate, we shopped! All around - it was such a wonderful time!

We were so inspired by Susan's yarn (Robin's Promise Yarn Co) and her samples that we got a few skeins to start something new. Helen is making the Comodo by Nicola Susan. She chose 4 skeins of pinks/purples to make it into a fade.

I chose yarn to make the Soldotna Crop using the following colors:

This is the sample that Susan had in her shop that made me fall in love!

You can see why I HAD to get yarn right away for it!

On Sunday, we drove to Woodbridge to visit the nephews before they left. On our way, we stopped in Occoquan, VA where we ran into the Hitchcock Paper Co and found some really cool papery things, including this awesome planner

by KatieDaisy called Wild Beauty

(which is not available in their online shop but is on Amazon which we linked to).

We also touched on Harry Potter and why we are no longer associating our yarn with the books. Also, we have changed the TriWizarding Tournament to Toad Hollow Summer Camp. We still have places for you to upload your pictures in progress and finishes both on Facebook and Ravelry.

We hope you guys have a great rest of the day. Go forth and create and we will see you on Friday - with progress on multiple projects.
