We are doing yarn pairings as part of our MD S&W vendor sessions. Here are some of the shawl patterns we’ve found and our yarn choices:

Far Away Dreams by Joji Locatelli

This is a fun, mindless knit that is worked in two sections. The center rectangle is knit in garter stitch. Then, it gets interesting. You need to pick up stitches all around the center and work the lace section in the round.

This is a fingering weight shawl.

Our pairing is two skeins of Chesapeake Bay and one skein of Is She a Wildflower. The Chesapeake would be the inner rectangle and the Wildflower would be the lace.

Pattern is NOT included and can be purchased on Ravelry here
Our yarns are hand dyed or hand painted using professional acid dyes. We wash each skein carefully after dying but slight bleeding may occur during first wash. Skeins may vary in color slightly so if using more than one skein of yarn in a project, please alternate skeins every few rows.

This soft, squishy yarn is perfect for socks, shawls, sweaters or any project where you would use a Fingering weight.

Care of yarn - superwash merino will allow you to wash your items in the washing machine but please use cold water. For best results and care, hand washing is recommended.
