ROSE IN BLOOM from our Favorite Books collection Hand Dyed Superwash Merino Yarn,Sock Toad, Rosenbloom

$ 28.00

During a virtual trunk show with Paige from Frame and Fiber, we discussed some of our favorite books as children. You can find the video here. This is one of the books chosen by Helen.

 We loved the books by Louisa May Alcott and this was a true favorite, probably because we had a gazillion cousins as well. Sequel to Eight Cousins, Rose in Bloom is the story of Rose Campbell, a 19th century young woman, who is coming out in society. Having lost both her parents, she is the ward of one of her many uncles and aunts.

Helen wanted this yarn to be layers of pink with a darker pink drizzled across to represent a rose.

Yarn is available in fingering and DK weights:

Sock Toad Base: $28/skein
100 grams
80% superwash merino, 20% Nylon
400 yards
2 ply

Toad DK: $28/skein

Our yarns are hand dyed or hand painted using professional acid dyes. We wash each skein carefully after dying but slight bleeding may occur during first wash. Skeins may vary in color slightly so if using more than one skein of yarn in a project, please alternate skeins every few rows.

This soft, squishy yarn is perfect for socks, shawls, sweaters or any project where you would use a Fingering weight.

Care of yarn - superwash merino will allow you to wash your items in the washing machine but please use cold water. For best results and care, hand washing is recommended.
